Advanced Botulinum Toxin-A and Dermal Fillers Training
This course is specifically designed for Practitioners who wish to expand their skills and services to include non-traditional areas for facial contouring by the use of injectables. Physicians will also gain a full understanding of the other most popular medical uses for botulinum toxin including protocols for patient selection, diagnosis, insurance reimbursement, modalities of treatments, and specific injection techniques and dosages for the treatment of Migraine Headaches, Hemifacial Spasm and Blepharospasm.
Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
- Describe and identify the mechanism of action, differences in product characteristics, patient education, and determination of the ideal candidate for other aesthetic, medical, and pain conditions for such indications as bruxism, migraine headaches, various facial atrophies, and other facial aging indications.
- Evaluate who will maximally benefit from botulinum toxin injections and dermal filler injections.
- Apply the technical skills to perform such treatments.
- Apply the generally accepted protocols for the administration of the advanced botulin toxin treatments for various aesthetic and medical conditions (i.e.orofacial pain) as well as aesthetically administer HA and Non-HA dermal fillers for aesthetic patient conditions.
- Apply the proper guidelines for the acquisition, patient charting, administration issues (i.e. medical intake forms, informed consents) and the corrective measures for adverse events.
- Practice and perform advanced procedures for medical and aesthetic botulinum toxin injections and dermal fillers competently, safely, and effectively for their patient.
- Describe how to avoid risks and associated complications.
