Foundations Of Botulinum Toxin Artistry Hands on Course
This course is for licensed healthcare professionals who want to start their journey into the Medical Aesthetic specialty, or for those who wish to gain a stronger foundational knowledge into neuromodulators. This class is 3 parts, online, in person didactic and Hands on Skills Lab. You must complete all three to obtain your CEs. You must be licensed in the state on NJ to participate in the Hands-On Skills Lab.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for an audience of physicians, dentists, nurses, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the different layers and facial muscles in facial anatomy, as well as their roles in facial animation
- Discuss how gender, ethnicity differences, and age-related changes in facial structure need to be considered when injecting neuromodulators
- Review the history and current application of aesthetic medicine, with a focus on neuromodulator injection treatment
- Identify key components, observations, and questions that are part of a thorough medical history for a patient who will receive neuromodulator injections
- Educate the patient on pre and post procedures and expectations when receiving neuromodulator treatment
- Identify appropriate medical documentation for neuromodulator procedures
- Discuss storage, supplies, reconstitution, and dosage for neuromodulator injections
- Explain and demonstrate safe injection technique
