ForwardOptimizing Hormonal Health: Clinical Strategies in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) 1 Day
This live activity reviews the clinical use of HRT and BHRT in men and women, focusing on indications, contraindications, treatment approaches, and monitoring considerations. Evidence regarding physiologic principles, safety, cancer risk, and outcomes is examined, along with management of common therapy-related complications and adjunctive treatment strategies. Case-based discussions are used to illustrate application across varied patient populations and comorbid conditions.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for an audience of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and any other healthcare professional interested in BHRT.
Learning Objectives
- Identify clinical indications, contraindications, and monitoring protocols for female and male HRT/BHRT.
- Describe reproductive physiology and endocrine axis integration and explain the historical evolution and rationale for bioidentical hormones.
- Analyze safety evidence and manage complications (cancer/cardiovascular risk counseling, aromatization, polycythemia, mood/libido changes), integrating adjunctive therapies and applying to cases/procedural workflows.
