Janine Vintch, Clinical Professor of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA; Harbor-UCLA Medical Center; Director Sleep Center Services and Pulmonary Embolism Response Team

Dr. Vintch is a Professor of Clinical Medicine through the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and spends all of her clinical time at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She is as an academic attending in the Division of Respiratory and Critical Care Physiology and Medicine and is engaged in the training of medical students, interns, residents, and fellows. She completed her undergraduate training at UCLA and went on to receive her medical degree at USC (that is what it was called at the time I went to medical school). She completed her Internal Medicine residency, chief residency, and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Harbor-UCLA. After completing her fellowship training, she pursued additional training in Sleep Medicine and is the Medical Director of the Sleep Center Services. Over the years, she has developed her area of expertise in anticoagulation and venous thromboembolic disease. She developed and currently serves as the Medical Director of Harbor's multidisciplinary Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) and participates in the University of California Alliance for Pulmonary Embolism (UCAPE) along with the PERT Consortium. She is a member of a panel of experts who has been updating the Antithrombotic Therapy Guidelines by the American College of Chest Physician (ACCP) since 2012 and also on the panel of experts updating the Prevention of VTE guidelines by the ACCP. She is also a panelist on the ACCP Guidelines on Non-Invasive Ventilation and OSA in Pregnancy that should be completed in the next year. Lastly, she serves on the ACCP Guidelines Oversight Committee and is a steering member of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Network.
