My name is Daria Floyd, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. I was born and raised in Stuttgart, Arkansas and graduated from Stuttgart High School in 2005. I attended the University of Central Arkansas, where I obtained a degree in Addictions Counseling in 2011. After graduating, I worked for a detox program as a patient care technician for approximately 1 year before returning to school for social work. I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a master’s degree in social work in 2014. I worked as a mental health professional in the school-based setting for 11 years before moving into a medical social work role at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

I am a mother of two—DJ is 12, and Zariah is 2. We have two dogs, Tank and Tika. We enjoy playing at the park, watching DJ play AAU basketball (where Zariah is the sideline coach), and spending time with family. When I need a break from being a mom/social worker, I love to take care of my plants, coloring and surrounding myself with friends.
