Omer Abdul Hamid, MD is a pediatric neurologist at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida in 
Orlando. He joined Nemours Children’s Health in August 2022 upon completion of his fellowship in 
pediatric neuromuscular medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Abdul Hamid 
completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science 
with a neuroscience concentration from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. He then 
earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in 
Roanoke, Va. He went on to complete two residencies, one in pediatrics and then another in 
pediatric neurology at Le Bonheur & St Jude Children’s Research Hospital / University of Tennessee 
Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn. Dr. Abdul Hamid is board certified in child neurology by 
the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology
