Cara Siegel, MD

Cara Siegel MD is an Assistant Professor at UCLA, jointly appointed in Neurology and Internal Medicine, Department of Palliative Care. She also serves as the Neurology Clerkship Chair for the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Siegel obtained her undergraduate degree at Reed College and her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College. She completed her residency in neurology at UCLA, where she also served as chief resident. She completed fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at UCLA, and then continued on as faculty to establish UCLA's first neuropalliative care program, increasing specialty palliative care access for serious neurologic disease. As part of her clinical work, she is embedded in the UCLA ALS multidisciplinary clinic, and she is passionate about providing humanistic care for patients living with ALS.
