Juliette Galbraith, MD

Juliette Galbraith, MD earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honors, Magna cum Laude, from the University of Maryland in 2000, followed by her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Galbraith completed her Psychiatry Residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine from 2004 to 2008, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Galbraith enjoyed a distinguished career at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, where she held several leadership positions over fifteen years. She served as an Attending Psychiatrist at Pennsylvania Hospital, Penn Medicine from 2008 to 2023, including roles as Assistant Medical Director of the Hall Mercer Crisis Response Center (2008-2016) and Director of the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service (2012-2018). Her leadership continued as she took on the roles of Medical Director of Emergency Psychiatry Service Line (2016-2019), Chief of Hospital-Based Operations (2019-2020), and Vice Chair for Clinical Operations (2020-2023), where she oversaw all clinical services in a large academic medical department.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Galbraith has been active in professional development, serving on multiple committees and her expertise has been recognized through multiple honors, including induction into the Academy of Master Clinicians at Penn Medicine and into the American College of Psychiatrists .
Building on her extensive experience in psychiatry and recognizing the unique challenges faced by women physicians, Dr. Galbraith established Juliette Galbraith, LLC in January 2023, a life coaching practice focused specifically on helping women physicians thrive and practice medicine with intention. In 2024, she expanded her professional impact by becoming a co-owner of Physician Life Booster, a specialized group coaching practice dedicated to addressing physician burnout and promoting sustainable medical careers.
As both a board-certified psychiatrist and professional coach, Dr. Galbraith leverages her extensive background in academic medicine and administrative leadership to address the unique challenges faced by women in medicine. Her certification as a Group Psychotherapist from the American Group Psychotherapy Association provides her with distinctive tools for facilitating transformative group experiences. Drawing from two decades of experience in psychiatric care and physician leadership, she offers specialized guidance for women physicians navigating career transitions, leadership advancement, and the complex interpersonal dynamics of medical settings while maintaining personal wellbeing and professional satisfaction.
