Ken Anderson, MD, FISHRS

Ken Anderson, MD, FISHRS is a fellowship-trained, triple board-certified facial plastic surgeon who has specialized exclusively in hair restoration surgery since 2003. He is a Fellow of both the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Anderson holds board certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
He is recognized for performing the first complete FUE hair transplant procedure to be published in the worldwide medical literature in 2004. Dr. Anderson serves as Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine and as Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
He is the Founder and Medical Director of Anderson Center for Hair, with two locations in Atlanta, Georgia, which has treated patients from 49 states and more than 50 countries. The center has received over 80 local, national, and international honors, including a global award for Best Hair Transplant Surgery Clinical Case at the 22nd Annual Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress in Monte Carlo. He has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 10 consecutive years and is a 10-time recipient of Top Hair Restoration Surgeon in the Southeast United States.
Dr. Anderson is known for a meticulous, long-term approach to hair restoration, emphasizing natural hairline design, donor preservation, and strategic planning for progressive hair loss rather than isolated procedural outcomes. He is the founder of the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery and has provided one-on-one surgical training to more than 60 physicians, including members of the ISHRS.
In 2025, John Cena publicly disclosed that Dr. Anderson performed his hair transplant, contributing to broader awareness and acceptance of surgical treatment for hair loss
