Renato Saltz, MD, FACS
Dr. Saltz is a Board Certified plastic surgeon, Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is past-President of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), past-President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and past-President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is an Adjunct Professor or Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah and a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at University Federal Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is an Honorary Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is past Trustee for ASAPS & ISAPS and serves as Visiting Professor for both societies.
Dr. Saltz has given over 500 lectures at national and international meetings. He has published over 100 articles, 50 chapters and has authored 8 books in Plastic Surgery, including the textbook, Cosmetic Medicine and Aesthetic Surgery: Strategies for Success (QMP, 2009). He serves as Chair of the Medical Advisory Board of the following medical companies: Symplast, BodyEstiq, ShapeScale, EntityMed. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Board of Benev.
Dr. Saltz has been Program Chair and meeting organizer of over 35 national/international educational meetings in Plastic Surgery including meetings for the University of Utah, The Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons, The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), The Vegas Multispecialty Meetings (VCS), The Miami Cosmetic Surgery (MCS), Global Aesthetics Conference (GAC) and The American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meetings (ABAM).
Renowned as one of the early pioneers in endoscopic facial surgery, Dr. Saltz has maintained a special interest in facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, aesthetic breast surgery, breast reconstruction and all aspects of Cosmetic Medicine. He has been featured on “Extra” and had many other national tv appearances. Has been quoted in Allure, New Beauty, Bazaar, Plastica & Beleza Magazine, the New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal and many other national and international publications. He has been a member of the Editorial Boards at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, New Beauty Magazine, The Aesthetic Guide, Zalea, Modern Aesthetics and Cureus.
Dr. Saltz is the Founder and Chair of The American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting (ABAM) now in its 18th year. An educational non-profit annual event that brings together plastic surgeons of North & South America, Europe and Asia to discuss current issues related to aesthetic surgery & cosmetic medicine.
Dr. Saltz is the co-Founder of Global Aesthetics Conference. A yearly multispecialty aesthetic meeting in Miami Beach, Florida since 2014.
Dr. Saltz is the Founder & Chairman of The Image Reborn Foundation of Utah, a 27-year-old non-profit organization dedicated to provide 3-day no-cost retreats to breast cancer survivors in Park City, Utah, Colorado, Texas and Florida. The Foundation has served over 4000 survivors from the US and abroad. The Foundation has received many regional and national awards for its unique & innovative contribution to improve the life of breast cancer survivors (www.imagerebornfoundation.org)
Dr. Saltz is in private practice in Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah where he opened Spa Vitoria in 2002, the first medical spa in the Intermountain West. His mission is to provide ultimate excellent care beyond surgery and non-surgical treatments and bring to the mountains of Utah an exotic and healing atmosphere that reflects the beauty of his native Brazil.
