jesper thulesen

Jesper Thulesen graduated from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1996 with part of his pre-graduate training at Middle Georgia College, GA, USA and graduate training at the George Washington University, MA, USA. A wealth of research activities and publication rates led to a research degree (Ph.D.) in 2000, and a medical dissertation (Dr.Med.Sci) two years later. He is extensively published, as author or co-author on more than 40 peer-reviewed internationally published research papers, including publications in top-ranked journals including ‘Nature Medicine’. In 2008, Jesper obtained his European specialist authorisation in ophthalmology in Paris, France (FEBO, Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology) in addition to the Danish specialist authorisation. His first clinic in Denmark opened in 2008 with sub-specialisation in oculoplastic surgeries and in 2010 he launched a medical aesthetic ’in-house’ practice specializing in skin lasers, botulinum toxin, and non-permanent fillers. Jesper soon after co-founded four additional aesthetic clinics in Denmark, together with an academy institution to advance training in the field of medical aesthetics. These were sold in 2016 to enable Jesper to focus on his two main clinics located in the capital city of Copenhagen and a third in the city of Odense, with focus on oculoplastic surgical procedures, treatment procedures with aesthetic skin laser devices, non-permanent fillers, and botulinum toxin. Jesper has been a recognized masterclass trainer since 2012, a member of the international AMI faculty and granted membership of the European Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESORPS). He frequently lectures on the international circuit in both aesthetic oculoplastic procedures and techniques in treatment with non-permanent fillers and botulinum toxin, including for 2025: IMCAS Paris, AMWC-Americas, CBAM Vancouver, AMWC-Monaco, Dubai Derma, Vegas Cosmetic Surgery, CBAM Toronto, AMWC Dubai, CBAM Istanbul, AMS Malmo Sweden, and CBAM Dubai.
