Laxmi Mehta

Dr. Laxmi Mehta is the Chief Well-Being Leader and Faculty Director of the Gabbe Well-Being Office at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is a noninvasive cardiologist and Professor of Medicine. She holds the Sarah Ross Soter Endowed Chair in Women’s Cardiovascular Health and is the Director of Preventative Cardiology and Women’s Cardiovascular Health. She is also the Associate Vice Chair of Wellness for the Department of Internal Medicine. Her clinical and academic focus encompasses cardiovascular disease prevention, women’s cardiovascular health, physician well-being, burnout, and cardiac imaging. Dr. Mehta earned her medical degree through a six-year BS/MD program at Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine, followed by fellowships in Clinical Cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging (Level 3 cardiac CT and MRI) at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She also holds an MBA degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
