John Cush, MD
John J. Cush, MD, is the executive editor of RheumNow.com - a news, information and education network dedicated to rheumatology.
Dr. Cush received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Coney Island Hospital in NYC and his Rheumatology training at The University of Texas Health Science Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
He has a career long academic rheumatologist, rising to the level of professor with appoint-ments at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Baylor University Medical Center, Texas A&M College of Medicine, and St. Georges University School of Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Internal Medicine at the TCU Burnett School of Medicine.
Dr. Cush’s career has focused on translational immunology, novel drug development, medical education, and drug safety. He has published over 150 journal articles and written numerous Rheumatology textbook chapters and has co-authored three textbooks Rheumatology: Diagnosis and Therapeutics (2nd edition, 2005), Rheumatoid Arthritis: Diagnosis and Treatment (4th edition, 2014) and the on-line textbook RheumaKnowledgy.com (2015).
He is also the editor of the free, online textbook, RheumaKnowledgy.com.
