Priya Reddy, MD

Dr. Priya Reddy is a private practice rheumatologist in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. She has over two decades of experience in rheumatology and has been in private practice in Hillsborough County for over fifteen years.
She is a Floridian who grew up in Charlotte County (by way of New York) and now resides in nearby Sarasota.
She went to medical school at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore, India. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Michael Reese Hospital. Dr. Reddy served as Chief Resident of the training program and as its Associate Program Director, teaching and leading the internal medicine residents.
She completed fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, before returning to the southwest region of Florida. Once here, she worked as an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Today, she is Faculty and Curriculum Coordinator in Rheumatology for Brandon Regional Hospital-University of South Florida’s Internal Medicine Residency Program.
She serves in the esteemed role of Immediate Past President of the Florida Society of Rheumatology, where she has spent the last decade fostering education for rheumatologists in the state, advocating in Tallahassee for better access and quality medical care for Florida patients, and developing rheumatology leaders in the state.
She also has a global reach in the profession in her role as Secretary-Treasurer of the Association of Women in Rheumatology, or “AWIR”
In addition to leadership, advocacy, and academic education, Dr. Reddy is the site Principal Investigator on several complex rheumatology clinical trials. She is also considered a key opinion leader in her field and is a speaker at both national and global conferences.
Dr. Reddy is committed to providing care in partnership with her patients, to recommendations guided by evidence, empathy, and trust.
