Seena Ounsinegad, MD, is a psychiatry resident physician at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Ounsinegad received his Bachelor of Science and Arts in neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to attend McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston before coming to UTSW for residency training. He is currently finishing his third year and plans to apply for fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry to gain expertise in psychiatric care for medically ill populations. His clinical interests include HIV psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, catatonia, psychodynamic and trauma-focused treatments, immigrant and LGBTQ+ mental health, gender-affirming care, and harm reduction. In his free time, he enjoys going to new restaurants, visiting art museums, thrifting, traveling, being outdoors, and cuddling with his cat Rosemary.
