BeU HIV & Aging Symposium
The BeU HIV &Aging Symposium will host presentations from subject matter experts on topics to increase knowledge and tools to support patients aging with HIV in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. As of 2021, more than half of the HIV priority population is over the age of 50 (hivinfo.nih.gov). Consequently, there is a need for increased learning opportunities for healthcare professional to increase their engagement in addressing the aging HIV population.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for an audience of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, social workers,clinic administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
After completing of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss how to Increase understanding of aging related needs in HIV care.
- Identify how to strengthen capacity to better support people aging with HIV.
- Review practical tools to improve services for people aging with HIV.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) provided financial support for this project. Criteria for Success
