Activity Overview

This webinar will explore updates in limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD). Topics will include an overview of LGMD disease subtypes and clinical management, new nomenclature for LGMD, and current and emerging treatments.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for an audience of nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians, physician associates.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

Incorporate knowledge of clinical examination, genetic testing, and proper naming conventions to obtain a diagnosis of LGMD.

Incorporate recent advances in disease management into care.

Identify and guide patients to clinical study opportunities.

Identify additional tools and resources.

Criteria for Success 

To obtain a certificate of completion, a score of 70% or better on the post-test is required.
