Maine Valve Symposium 2026

The Second Annual Maine Valve Symposium is a premier event focused on advancing knowledge in structural heart disease and valvular interventions. This year’s conference will bring together a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and allied health providers. Attendees will gain up-to-date, evidence-based insights into the latest advancements and clinical practices in the management of mitral, aortic, tricuspid, and other cardiac valve conditions.

Through a combination of scientific sessions, keynote addresses, and interactive discussions, participants will explore a range of topics from transcatheter interventions, valve durability, and surgical strategies, to the expanding role of artificial intelligence in structural heart disease management. With a focus on improving patient outcomes, the symposium will highlight cutting-edge technologies, evolving treatment pathways, and the importance of a collaborative heart team approach in providing the best care for patients with complex heart valve conditions.

Target Audience

The Second Annual Maine Valve Symposium is designed for a multidisciplinary audience, including cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses specializing in cardiovascular care. This event will also benefit allied health professionals such as pharmacists, physical therapists, and dietitians involved in the management of structural heart diseases. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the latest advancements in valve therapies, including TAVR, SAVR, and tricuspid valve interventions. The symposium is also ideal for medical researchers, healthcare administrators, and trainees interested in the evolving landscape of structural heart disease. With a focus on collaborative, team-based care, this event will provide essential knowledge for anyone involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of heart valve conditions.

Learning Objectives

Review the latest data and innovations in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) for asymptomatic and symptomatic patients. Evaluate the evolving role of catheter-based therapies in treating valve disease and their impact on patient management. Discuss the advances in tricuspid valve interventions, including repair, replacement, and management strategies. Understand the role of imaging and diagnostics in the assessment of complex valve conditions. Explore the integration of artificial intelligence in structural heart disease and its potential clinical implications. Examine team-based approaches to cardiovascular care, highlighting the expanding roles of advanced practice providers (APPs) and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
